The Future Is Tomorrow

"This one...a long time have I watched. All his life has he looked away... to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing. Hmph. Adventure. Heh. Excitement. Heh. A Jedi craves not these things."

That may be all well and good, Master Yoda, but let's face it. Tomorrow is all about the future, in more ways than one. Not only is the first round of the MLB Draft tomorrow (read more about that in my article here), but tomorrow is also the start of E3, aka the Electronic Entertainment Expo. For those not in the know, basically this is the show that all the big names in video games unveil their upcoming products.

It all starts tomorrow at 12:30PM, when Microsoft starts it's press conference. I expect some big Kinect news, and Gears of War 3 to have a big showing. But what else am I looking to see at this year's show? Here are my top five.

Give Me a Reason To Kinect, Microsoft

Microsoft's Xbox 360 Kinect released last Fall. While I love new gadgets and hardware, I haven't had a reason to buy one just yet. Tomorrow, I expect MS to have a strong Kinect presence. How about showing us a ton of that Star Wars game coming out for it? A good Star Wars game for the Kinect would be all I would need to purchase it.

We Fly High, No Lie...

The last great game for the Wii (maybe) should be fully revealed during Nintendo's conference on Tuesday. I love the look of it so far. The art direction looks to be a combination of both Ocarina of Time and the Wind Waker.

3DS Games

I went over my top upcoming 3DS games in a post last week. I want to see a lot on them, plus games I didn't mention, such as Star Fox 64 DS, and Kid Icarus. Oh, and some game called Super Mario 3DS...

Next Generation Portable

Hopefully Sony announces a release date and a price for their upcoming handheld. After seeing pics of Uncharted on it, I'm in. While we're at it, let's get some more PS1 classics announced for the Xperia Play.

Project Cafe News

While I don't foresee the Big N releasing pricing and a due date for their upcoming HD system, I do expect it to be completely unveiled on Tuesday. Maybe a new Pikmin for it as a launch title? A new Smash title shown off?

This year's E3 is shaping up to be one of the biggest shows in years. This list could have easily been five spots longer- and that's just the stuff that we know about. E3 is always filled with surprises, so hopefully we see a lot this year as well. Keep checking back to see what I thought of everything. Thanks for reading!

Until next time!
