Back in the day, I used to have a Sunday list of the top five games that I was looking forward to playing. Today, I restart that list. The only criteria is that it has to be officially announced, and have a screenshot. Here goes nothing...
5. Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, 3DS- This game won't be on the list too long, as it releases next week. Capcom took the battle modes from the past two games in the RE series and made a full game out of it. Looks cool enough, especially with old favorites like Barry Burton and Claire Redfield being playable.

4. The House of the Dead: Overkill Extended Cut, PS3- My favorite game from 2009 arrives in HD form, sporting Move support and two new levels. Hopefully this one sells well, and we get an Overkill 2.

3. No More Heroes 2: Hero's Paradise, PS3- A better version of one of the most underrated games ever. I almost imported the UK version of this, but I'll wait until August for the USA release. I hope this gets more people interested in a great series. Maybe we'll get a third entry?

2. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Wii- I'm currently roaming my way around a 3D version of Ocarina of Time, but this holiday season, the last great Wii game will be a brand new Zelda title. Well, unless The Last Story releases next year...
1. Animal Crossing 3D, 3DS- I can't help it. I love collecting things, and Animal Crossing games are all about collecting. I'm hoping this releases this December, but we'll see.
So, there it is. By the way, one game that would have been on this list had it not released today was the aforementioned Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for the 3DS. I've beaten the second dungeon, and am working on planting as many of the bean seeds as possible before moving on.
It's the first game I've bought via retail on Day One since last September's Halo Reach. I normally rent games with Blockbuster or GameFly, but every so often one comes along that I have to buy. That's going to be another criteria for this list. Yes, games like Uncharted 3 are must plays, but I can wait until that is available to rent to play. On the other hand, I'll be at my local Wal*Mart the day Animal Crossing comes out, which will probably be on a Sunday at midnight.
Anyway, I'll have more on Zelda 3DS at a later date.
Til next time!
